SITE ACCESSIBILITY

If you are having trouble viewing our site, here are a few tips that should help.

1. Zooming

If the font size is too small or too large, or if images are blocking some of the text, this can be because your browser is zoomed in or zoomed out. On most browsers, this can be fixed by tapping the Ctrl key (Command key on Apple devices) and then the + or the - key. Play around with the zoom feature until you find the correct size for you. We recommend viewing our site at 100% to maximize its design, or anywhere between 125% and 200% if you need a larger font size.

2. Assistive Software

JobStart's website has visual indicators enabled, alt text for images, and heading tags on each text box to ensure that guests to our site with visual impairments and that are using assistive software will be able to access all our online content.

3. Mobile Version

There is a mobile version of our site in addition to the desktop version. Although every page has been specially formatted to be compatible with mobile device use, some features of the website may be easier to see on the desktop version (such as image galleries). Alternatively, you may be using a device where the mobile version of the site would be optimal (such as some tablets). Feel free to try both versions of the site to find which works best for you and your device.

4. TTY Relay Service

If you have any questions, you can call JobStart at (416) 231-2295 and speak to a staff member. We also have a TTY number for anyone who requires a relay service. JobStart's TTY number is 711.

If you notice an issue with our site, please inform us by using our contact form on our Contact page and we will try to resolve it as soon as possible.
