What We Do

JobStart is an award winning, charitable not-for-profit organization with a vision to create innovative opportunities for successful and sustainable futures. By allowing clients and employers to participate in career and personal growth programs and services for nearly 40 years, we have achieved a rich history of excellence in community service.

Serving the Greater Toronto Area, JobStart provides a range of employment, mentoring, training, and settlement services to a diverse group of job seekers including adults, internationally trained professionals, newcomers to Canada, persons with disabilities, seniors, students, women and youth at its three Toronto locations. JobStart serves approximately 5,000 clients annually.

We take pride in connecting employers with job seekers who not only have the skills, but who are also the right fit for the organization. Our customer-centered approach has resulted in successful placements and long-term retentions. It has given us a resounding 97% customer satisfaction rate and 85% of clients find employment or enroll in further education and training.

We Need Your Help

We invite our community to support us so we can continue to make a difference by providing these much needed and important services. Your donations will directly impact the lives of those working hard to access jobs and achieve an economically and socially stable life in Canada.

Make Your Donation Go Further

To make your donation go even further, see if you can get it matched! Many employers offer matching gift programs that will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. This means the company will donate funds equal to your contribution to JobStart, which effectively doubles or even triples your gift!

Here’s how to get your donation matched:

  • Find out if your company has a matching gift program

  • Even if your company does not, they may be willing to start one. Contact your Human Resources department to find out more.

  • If you company agrees to match your donation, remember to provide your employer with JobStart’s charitable registration number, which is 106881139RR0001.
