FOUNDATIONS FOR YOUTH SUCCESS

Funded by the United Way Greater Toronto, Foundations for Youth Success is a program for youth between the ages of 15 to 24 who face multiple and/or serious barriers to staying in or continuing with education as well as finding and retaining employment. This program is an enhancement of our Youth Job Connection program. Foundations for Youth Success engages youth in interactive and dynamic life skills training and mentorship initiatives that prepare and support youth to develop qualities and skills needed for successful participation in employment and employment readiness programs. Youth will have the capacity to develop purpose, to fulfill their aspirations for the future, and to participate in and contribute to their communities.

 

Workshop Activities Include:

  • Budgeting & Financial Literacy

  • Healthy work/school-life balance

  • Nutrition

  • Self- awareness/confidence

  • Decision making

  • Communication/Assertiveness

  • Organizational skills
