Transitions For Youth (TFY) program commenced April 1, 2017.


TFY focuses on the development of soft skills to enhance an individual's marketability to employers, as well as give individuals the tools necessary to work well and adapt in any workplace to ensure job retention.  


This program is designed for youth with disabilities and enhances JobStart’s Employment Accessibility for Students (EAS) program, funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.


TFY consists of a two-week workshop that covers a variety of diverse employer recognized soft skills that are in demand. These soft skills include, but are not limited to, communication, teamwork, leadership, professionalism in the workplace, health and wellness and personality dimensions. The program also facilitate’s networking sessions and mentoring days throughout the year. 


​Transitions for Youth is open to all youth with a disability between the ages on 16-29 years.
