Youth Possibilities Project
The Youth Possibilities Project (YPP) is a new program at JobStart, funded by Service Canada under its Youth Employment and Skills Strategy.
This program offers 4 weeks of employment services and skills training followed by a 10 weeks placement. This program is open to youth in the GTA between the age of 15 to 30. The program aims to place each participant in a rewarding job where they are valued, and the experience helps them to achieve future success.
Participants will receive:

Assessments and workshops to develop their knowledge of career options, job market and themselves

Career exploration guidance

Skills to develop their employability

One on one job coach training

Valuable work experience to develop practical skills in a field of their choosing
Program offers:

Paid pre-employment training

Employment related supports

Working with job developer to find a job in the field of their choice
To be eligible for this program participants must:

Be able to commit to 28 hours per week Monday to Friday

Must not be employed
-
Currently not registered in school or training

Between the ages of 15-30

Eligible to work in Canada

Live in the GTA
